The Massachusetts Bay
On February 7th in history 151, my group partners, Niki, Josh, Aleah and I researched the Massachusetts Bay. With little computer use and very few books we compiled our information together. Overlooking all my information I wrote down notes so that way I wouldn’t forget a thing.
The puritans were very religious. They lived in New England and their job was to modify and purify the churches. New England wanted the Puritans to practice outside the church and convert into their religion. The Purtians who did not abide by these were rules were prosecuted. The Puritans then went by ship across the Atlantic. There were about 11 ships that arrived at the Massachusetts bay. When the puritans went to the bay they were able to build their own colonizations and reform their own government, as well as practicing their own religion.
As a group we didn’t get into much detail, just a small presentation and I think that it went very well. I really enjoy working in groups and working together as a team. I felt very comfortable knowing that if our facts were wrong it wasn’t just my fault. I look forward to doing more research on the Massachusetts bay. I will do my best to keep you updated with my information.
Until my next blog.
